Being Together

The Mothers’ Union is a worldwide, inclusive organisation that welcomes those who are neither mothers nor female! It works in 83 countries to end poverty, inequality and injustice. Its members work at grassroots level around the world, bringing hope and support to millions of people. At St Ninian’s the MU consists of a small group who meet on a monthly basis to pray for the work of the MU and to support MU initiatives such as the Away From It All holiday scheme for those families who are suffering hardship. If you would like to know more please get in touch with the Rector.

Social Events

The church holds a variety of social events during the year, such as fayres, ceilidhs, and even murder mystery plays! They are usually advertised on the Facebook page.

Church Garden

We have a committed group of gardeners who work hard on making sure the tubs around the church give colour to a busy street corner. Recently we created a garden and sitting area in the church courtyard with help from a grant made by the Incorporation of Gardeners from Glasgow.

RATS (Renfrew and Aranthrue Theatre Society)

Rats are a local amateur theatre group that rehearse in the church hall. They produce a Christmas pantomime and a springtime play every year.

Children’s Activity Days

Over the summer holidays we organise activity days for primary age children and their carers. We also aim to provide activities and crafts over the Christmas and Easter seasons.
